This article explores the (re-)mediation approach applied to the fonds of Suzanne Citron, a historian who pioneered the deconstruction of the French national narrative and the critical analysis of history teaching in schools. Through a process of deconstruction and reconstruction, it shows how a new narrative can emerge from an archive, crossing Suzanne Citron’s work with a “material” approach to deconstruction: dismantling and reassembling elements in time and space, juxtaposing them, and highlighting the often invisible links between various thoughts and different fields.
